52 Limited sources graphic designers, illustrators, producers and marketing professionals for Twitter, a social platform that needs no introduction with 288 million active users. How our recruiting relationship took shape, however, is an interesting story.
In early 2014 Twitter’s Head of Content in the US faced a surging demand on talented freelance presentation designers for the company’s throttled marketing departments. Twitter had relocated and expanded its headquarters to the mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco just the year before and now the former Londoner found herself among the latest to join the Bay Area tech scene. With immediate staffing needs and no established network in the States, she turned to Google.
With 52 Limited, she found a staffing company with a well-established digital aesthetic and a rich pool of vetted freelancers stretching from one coast to the other. She put Twitter’s marketing teams directly in contact with account managers at 52 Limited and in short order they’d sourced several presentation designers to cover speaker engagements for conferences and in immediate support of the Ads Product Marketing team. The recruiting process was flawless, she said, and the account teams were very responsive.
Twitter was incorporated in 2007 and has 3,600 employees worldwide and growing. While the direct recruiting relationship continues, the scope of staffing has expanded into 52 Limited’s other talent pools for Twitter’s corporate creative and technology needs.
