We are currently seeking a talented Lead Dispatcher for our client in the transportation and logistics industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the dispatch operations of our client. Your expertise in managing transportation networks and building supply chain solutions will be essential in improving transportation cost management, increasing efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction.


  • Lead the operations in a manner that delivers revenues and gross margins for our client.

  • Make routing and operational decisions to maximize gross profit and minimize losses.

  • Cube out the capacity of each vehicle to ensure efficient and maximum profit potential.

  • Establish optimum communication with the customer service representative (CSR) and dispatch team to offer the highest level of service and capacity to customers.

  • Implement customer-centered solutions to drive sales and ensure thorough and efficient shipment completion.

  • Manage reasonable solutions to allow for smooth information flow to interested parties.

  • Encourage efficient quoting to showcase the benefits of utilizing our client’s services.

  • Monitor future shipments to prevent exceeding capacity by coordinating with customer service.

  • Enter data into the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other relevant information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic leadership experience.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Knowledge of Portland and the surrounding areas of the Pacific Northwest.

  • 4 years of dispatch experience.

  • College degree preferred but not required.
