Senior Software Engineering Manager

We are searching for a Software Engineering Manager for our tech industry client. In this role, the successful candidate will have significant software development experience and be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions as an individual contributor.

The Software Engineering Manager duties include and are not limited to:

  • Software Engineer (70%)
  • Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Ensure best-possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Helping maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Leadership and Management (30%)
  • Responsible for the selection, training, supervision, evaluation, and performance management of employees.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among employees.
  • Establish long-range objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Build and work with diverse teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 1+ years of demonstrable management experience
  • Must be able to work onsite in McMinnville for 2-3 days a week
  • Fully eligible to work in the United States

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework
  • Proficiency with either ASP.NET or WPF/XAML
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with popular web application frameworks (Angular preferred
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Understanding of version control tools (Git)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies
