We are seeking a talented Senior Scrum Master to join our automotive client’s team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will join a team that works with internal engineering groups, external vendors, and the open-source community to identify and integrate emerging technologies into future vehicle product lines. Every day they work to close the gap between fast-paced, highly available cloud services and the multifaceted challenges of a rolling, embedded platform. They work closely with embedded systems tools, silicon-to-pixel CI/CD toolchains, and higher-level languages to craft and build initial versions of production software that can be scaled out to other offices and external vendors for completion. 


They believe the world of web services and data-driven applications can advise how embedded systems need to evolve. They are working to integrate our customers’ vehicles into their current ecosystem of modern portable devices.


Their Global Digital Development team is based in Portland, Oregon.

Daily Activities

Act as a Scrum Master for multiple Scrum teams who are building customer-facing applications for our vehicles and external devices 

  • Design/ architect and implement software systems to meet desired user experience, functional, and security requirements.

  • Mentor multi-disciplinary teams in Agile methodology and Scrum practices

  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective, backlog refinement, and daily standup sessions

  • Lead development teams in self-organization

  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments

  • Facilitate team discussions and assist the team in resolving conflicts.

  • Support the Product Owner in creating and updating reports to stakeholders

  • Maintain and improve processes, tools, and ways of working within and across teams

  • Work with IT to configure Confluence and JIRA as needed to support team needs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across our sites to learn and share best practices

  • Other duties as assigned

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3-5 years professional experience as a scrum master

  • Scrum Master certification preferred

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict

  • Experience with Agile techniques

  • Ability to work with and lead a team

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

  • Experience in the software development industry; additional experience in the automotive industry is a plus
