Head of Strategy, Digital Product

52 Limited is a digital staffing agency with an industry-leading focus on the creative + technology space. We exclusively place tech and creative talent in direct-hire, contract-to-hire, and contract roles with our clients in Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco.

We are in search of a digital product-fluent Head of Strategy for a direct hire role with our design/dev agency client. This role is remote from the U.S. The person in this role is a senior thought leader who is well versed in design thinking and research methodologies, with the vision, leadership, and experience to orchestrate an interdisciplinary team to identify, set, and execute the strategic direction.

You will be tasked with identifying big challenges and uncovering opportunities for growth through digital transformation, innovation, and creativity. The Head of Strategy will spend significant time with the agency's clients, gaining deep insight into their problems and becoming a trusted thought partner and advisor to senior client executives.

Responsibilities:

Develop cohesive, compelling strategic visions for the client that guides their overall business plans.

Lead and facilitate design thinking workshops and sessions with clients and collaborators

Drive the creative process in partnership with your creative piers: honing and crafting ideas and selling them in successfully to clients

Communicate strategic visions to the client, and help them and their teams socialize the strategy to the greater organization.

Work with discipline leaders to drive organic growth account and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Collaborate closely with the creative and execution teams to ensure strategies are brought to life correctly.

Maintain active industry presence through client relationship development, industry events, and thought leadership.

Grow the agency product strategy team, practice, and offering

Provide strategic direction on product and experience initiatives, identifying the key value proposition, consumer needs, and value to the business

Participate in pitches and business development.



Qualifications:

7+ yrs experience in agency strategy roles or related roles driving proven results.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with strategic and creative partners.

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.

Familiarity with the design, application, and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques

Product strategy and design thinking is a requirement, with a significant amount of this experience devoted to work in digital environments

Ability to work in cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations.

Demonstrated experience communicating broad strategic initiatives.

Willingness to simultaneously tackle multiple projects and challenges.

Ability to judge creative ideas for their distinctiveness and effectiveness

Ability to problem-solve independently.

Passion to rapidly build expertise on new businesses and industry verticals.

Desire to work on large and high profile brands and businesses.
