52 Limited is a digital staffing agency with an industry-leading focus on the creative + technology space. We exclusively place tech and creative talent in direct-hire, contract-to-hire, and contract roles with our clients in Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco.
We're looking for an experience Executive Producer with creative agency experience and an understanding of full-service client deliverables across strategy, conceptual (ie. creative development and/or design development), and production (ie. brand identity systems, campaign toolkits, app/web design, photo/ video/motion/illustration). This is a direct hire role and will require some in-person work at this client's centrally located Portland office.
The Role: In this full time role you will partner with the leadership team of the agency to oversee how work is developed through the studio. With one eye on profitability and both eyes on ensuring consistently high quality work for clients. In this role you’ll be responsible for managing talent (full time and contract) as well as identifying and overseeing production partners. Creative producers and project managers assigned to individual projects/clients will report to the EP. You’ll have an opportunity to improve and set process for a growing studio that takes on ambitious assignments for clients who want to evolve how they go to market.
Required Strengths + Experience:
* Minimum 10 years experience managing projects and overseeing studio operations and/or budgets for a design studio or creative agency.
* You foster thriving relationships with clients, with other creative companies and with freelancers. * You can expertly manage ambitious timelines, and aim to deliver meaningful creative work on-time and on-budget. * You are able to work independently and juggle priorities on several projects simultaneously. * You’ve trained and managed producers and/or project managers. * You’ve had accountability to the work AND the budget, and a track record of optimizing both of those things. * You have experience in all phases of projects: Strategy work, Conceptual work (e.g. Creative Development and/ or Design Development) and Production (e.g. Brand Identity Systems, Campaign Toolkits, App/Web Design, Photo/ Video/Motion/Illustration). * An ability to communicate effectively with creative teams, strategy teams and financial operations team.
* Work with leads and/or agency leadership on staffing plans for projects prior to kick-off. * Have an understanding of SOW and partner with leadership to manage quality of work, anticipate roadblocks and find creative solutions to issues as they arise in developing the work. * Manages project schedules including assigning milestones, tracking progress, communicating schedule status to client, and keeping a visual project timeline up-to-date. In this role you’ll often be overseeing individuals who do this work but you’ll set the standard. * Manage production contracts with partner shops and oversee contracts with creative contractors who work with the agency part-time. • Tracks project staffing budget and run a weekly ‘roll-up’ meeting with CD, GM and CFO to find staffing solutions across the studio. • Manages any third-party vendors and project resources. • Manages master production budget across projects.
