Direct Hire Software Development Manager - Salary Range $120,000 to $130,000

We want to create experiences people love, for life. We are looking for a passionate individual to join us this journey. We are seeking a qualified full-stack software development manager that will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes. 


You will be required to lead and motivate a team of software developers, track their progress, liaise with other teams across the business, and report on progress. Additionally, you will be required to influence strategic plans to accomplish technical and business objectives.

Essential Functions:

Strategy

  • Develop relations throughout the business in order to create and interpret requirements
  • Learn and display how products would add value to the wider business 
  • Provide management and technical leadership in implementation of every aspect of software development
  • Work across an interdisciplinary team to approach challenging and new business opportunities for global markets
  • Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
  • Provide the software team a clear sense of direction
  • Exhibit thought leadership and innovation when tackling software related problems


Management

  • Develop, manage, and prepare a high performing software development team
  • Guide, coach, and mentor software development engineers within your team and across the organization
  • Supervise resource allocation to assure attainment of business and personnel development goals
  • Supervise architecture plus lead efforts to develop technical roadmap of all projects
  • Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules plus supervise project status
  • Monitor the performance of team members against strategic targets
  • Identify the skills needed for each development project and organize training as required
  • Ensure that teams have access to the resources needed
  • Enable team members to overcome obstacles encountered 
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings
  • Ability to make decisions and take calculated risks
  • Ability to provide clear direction and proactively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Other duties as assigned 


Other Requirements: The ability to perform the following physical/mental demands:

  • The act of balancing, bending or stooping, climbing
  • The ability to sit for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, crawl, kneel, push, pull, turn and twist

You are qualified if:

  • You have previous experience managing software delivery teams and key stakeholders
  • You can deliver end-to-end production quality software 
  • You have experience working with cross functional teams across multiple locations
  • You are able to absorb and comprehend complex technical landscapes
  • You have experience with project estimation techniques, roadmaps and timeline creation
  • You possess extensive skills in good communication, decision-making & collaboration 
  • You are able to influence your own team and others to deliver high quality software
  • You have previous experience with risk analysis
  • You are solution oriented
  • You can adapt quickly to change without sacrificing delivery timelines or quality
